Megan Richardson, FNP-C
Megan Richardson has been a registered nurse since 1999, working primarily in pediatrics but also in women’s health, trauma response coordination and clinical trials. She joined Frederick County Pediatrics as a certified Family Nurse Practitioner in January 2013 after working with Dr. Lee and staff during the pediatric clinical rotation of her graduate program from June-December 2012. Her professional interests include adolescent health and childhood obesity. Megan is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland. Prior to nursing, Megan was in the Army, first as a Russian linguist then as a Medical Service Corps officer, as well as a substance abuse counselor.
Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Megan moved with her family to Maryland in 2010 after five years overseas in Thailand and Kenya where her husband worked on insect-borne disease research. They have two teenage sons and two dogs and together their family likes to kayak, explore the Delmarva area and play games at home. Megan also likes to work in the yard, run, read and sing with a women’s holiday choir.
