Angie Fetty, CPNP
Angie has been practicing in the field of pediatric nursing since 1994. Prior to her certification as a pediatric nurse practitioner she worked in hospital settings on a variety of pediatric units including med-surg and cardiac intensive care units, and pediatric emergency departments. She received her Doctorate degree from the University of South Alabama and began her career as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at University of Maryland Medical Center. Angie has also worked as a nurse practitioner in the pediatric emergency departments at Frederick Medical Center and Reston Medical Center. Now Angie is a full-time faculty member at Shepherd University in the Department of Nursing. She is an Assistant Professor in the undergraduate and graduate programs. Her professional interests lean towards pediatric asthma and respiratory disease as well as educating patients, families, and future nurses and nurse practitioners.
Angie was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. She now lives in Charles Town, WV with her husband, three children, and her dog. She likes to stay active and keeping her children active in sports as well as in the gym. She loves baking with her children in the kitchen and is especially fond of the Christmas holiday.
