Happy Changes for Happy Spring!

Happy Spring and I am pleased to announce and welcome some big changes to our practice!  First and foremost, I want to introduce Dr. Jennifer Burns to our provider staff.  I’ve had the pleasure to get to know Dr. Burns over the past dozen years that she has practiced in Frederick.  I couldn’t ask for a more dedicated and caring physician.  Her commitment to quality medical care and her dedication to her patients is simply the best.  Her strong training experience local knowledge of Frederick County will allow her to step right into our practice.  We are very lucky to have Dr. Burns join us and I think our families will be very pleased and well served by her.  Welcome!

In addition to Dr. Burns, I’d like to introduce Meghan Bailey as a new full time RN with us.  Meghan comes to us after working as a NICU nurse at Shady Grove Hospital and brings both neonatal experience and a commitment to detail and expertise that is hard to find!  I also want to recognize Alisha Brauning as our part time RN who has jumped right in, providing quality care and has become part of our team almost immediately.  I also want to give a slightly belated hello to Alyssa Smith who has joined our front desk team and who has created many of the cool displays you now see in our office.

If you haven’t been in our office recently you’re in for a visual surprise as our expansion and makeover is now complete.  Kudos to the entire staff for enduring the construction.  It sure has been worth it!  I am very happy with the upgrades to our space.  A major thumbs up to our Practice Administrator, Amy Tzortzinis, who guided us though it and put her personal touch to all of the exam rooms and common areas.  I hope the décor helps everyone to get a sense of our themes: outdoors and nature, reading and family engagement.  These themes serve as part of our mission; quality medical care for our patients and positive support to our families and community.
