Are We the Right Practice for Your Family?
Frederick County Pediatrics (FCP) is intended to be a small but comprehensive pediatric medical practice. Our focus is individualized, quality care. We encourage family engagement, education, and preventative care.
The following guidelines reflect our philosophy of care.
We are pleased to be accepting new patients! To ensure our practice is a good fit for your family, we have developed a brief orientation required for new families.
This includes a brief video and several forms that are needed in order to start the process. Please call our office to find out how to start the process.
If you are expecting, please see our expecting parents' page for information on our orientation process.
MEIDCAL HOME
We want to be your primary contact for health concerns of both acute and chronic conditions. We are committed to both the physical and psychological well-being of our patients and families.
VACCINE POLICY
Our vaccine schedule is in alignment with the current CDC and AAP recommendations. We do not accommodate altered / split/spread out vaccine schedules nor allow unvaccinated children to join our practice unless there is a medical contraindication.
JUDICIOUS USE OF ANTIBIOTICS
We similarly follow CDC and AAP’s antibiotic prescribing guidelines for appropriate usage. We do not call in antibiotics over the phone as we do not believe that is good medicine.
OFFICE HOURS/ AFTER HOURS
We offer same-day sick visits each
day we are open.
Please call to schedule an appointment as we do not offer walk-ins.
One of our providers is available for emergency questions after hours by calling our office number.
DEDICATED NURSE LINE
During office hours, a nurse is available to help determine if an appointment is needed, answer questions, and to facilitate referrals and medicine refills.
INSURANCE & BILLING
It is our intent to participate in most insurance plans including Maryland state insurance programs. We employ a billing specialist to facilitate claims and answer billing questions. Our policies regarding copays, form completion fees, missed appointments, payment plans are outlined here.
