Frederick County Pediatrics

Are We the Right Practice for Your Family?

Frederick County Pediatrics (FCP) is intended to be a small but comprehensive pediatric medical practice. Our focus is individualized, quality care. We encourage family engagement, education, and preventative care.
The following guidelines reflect our philosophy of care.

MEDICAL HOME

We want to be your primary contact for health concerns of both acute and chronic conditions. We are committed to both the physical and psychological well-being of our patients and families.

VACCINE POLICY

Our vaccine schedule is in alignment with the current CDC and AAP recommendations. We do not accommodate altered/split/spread out vaccine schedules nor allow unvaccinated children to join our practice unless there is a medical contraindication.

JUDICIOUS USE OF ANTIBIOTICS

We similarly follow CDC and AAP’s antibiotic prescribing guidelines for appropriate usage. We do not call in antibiotics over the phone as we do not believe that is good medicine.

 AFTER HOURS EMERGENCY CALLS

Our practice's after-hours calls are covered by a triage service and is intended for emergencies that cannot wait until our business hours. Advice given after hours does incur a fee of $17.

Please note that the triage service is not able to make appointments, provide medication refills or give lab results.
