New & Transferring Families



Due to a significant increase in requests to transfer in new patients, we have made the difficult decision to pause accepting all new patient transfers. Though we are honored by so many requests to join our practice we are unable to make exceptions as we feel obligated to maintain appointment availability to our current patient population. Please continue to have your child seen at their current office. We anticipate this pause to last at least 3 or 4 months. We will announce here when the pause is lifted.


**If you have previously started the transfer process prior to 9/20/22, we will complete it and see your child, though the wait for new patient appointments may be long.


This does not apply to newborns whom will see soon after birth. Please visit our prenatal page for expecting parents here.

Thank you for considering Frederick County Pediatrics for your child's medical home! We are a small practice with a focus on quality and preventative care. We hope to know our patients and their families and build trusting relationships that lead to lifelong healthy outcomes.


To ensure our practice is the right fit for your family, we have a brief orientation required before joining. Below is a short video about our approach to care. We ask you to read our vaccine policy here. If in agreement, please fill out all of the forms below. Once forms are submitted, your child's medical records will be requested from their current office. Once records are received, our care coordinator will call you to set up your child's first appointment.


Please note we are not able to see patients without first obtaining their records. We are not able to prescribe any medications or fill out forms prior to their first appointment.


We are honored to be considered for your child's care!

We participate with most of the major commercial insurance companies and also many of the Maryland State medical assistance programs.

We do not participate with traditional Kaiser AND Aetna Better Health Medicaid.

Please contact our office to confirm participation with your plan and to speak to our care coordinator before transferring records.
