Dear Families,

 

It has been an honor serving and caring for the children of Frederick County for nearly four decades.  14 years ago, I founded Frederick County Pediatrics, and I take great pride in the practice that we have built.  Although I will continue my involvement with the practice and our providers, it is bittersweet to announce my plan to retire from active practice on March 31, 2025.  I look forward to beginning this next phase of life with my wife, Carol, my children, and my grandchildren. For those patients and families for which I have long-standing relationships, rest assured that transition of care is very important to me, and I will work closely with you and our staff to ensure a smooth transition. 

 

Additionally, I am very excited to introduce Dr. Tina Floy and welcome her as a member of our provider team.  Dr. Floy is an experienced pediatrician with her roots in Montgomery County.  She is joining us from her practice in Virginia, and she is excited to be closer to home - including her husband and two children.  We were all immediately impressed with her warmth and professionalism, and I feel we share similar philosophies towards patient care.  I look forward to our families meeting and establishing care with her.  Our wonderful Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, Sara Cowan, Brendan Koning, and Alexandra Price, will of course continue to provide quality care for our patients.

 

We have a great practice at FCP and I take comfort in knowing our entire team will manage this transition with grace and professionalism.  I feel confident that the foundations and principles that I helped establish will carry on with our team in the years ahead.
